In The Beginning
The Way of the Unicorn
Did you know that we are all made of stardust?!?
Everything, including all the pieces that make up all the particles we are, manifested into existence 13.8 billion years ago.
We are composed of Energy and Matter, riding the wave of that Origin Point, riding that wave as it breaks endlessly, as we all hang 10 on our way out into infinity. All our cells vibrate with the ripple of the Universe, humming and expanding rings of Creation energy, following the ecstatic explosion of Fire and Desire to BE! Starting the hum that endlessly thrums through EVERYTHING that IS.
Does that mean we are all connected? Absolutely!
We are all connected and equal: together. No one is more or less than anyone else; no one is above or below anyone else. We are one family of Unicorns and Wild Things, all created from the exact same Origin-All Materials.
Because Mother Nature is everywhere… In us, within us, as us, we are as much a part of Her as She is of us! We can connect to Her wherever we are. Her diversity, wisdom, resilience, and adaptations are staggering in their breadth and beauty.
She is the Mother of us all, and it may seem apparent to Free Unicorns and Wild Things to honor our Mother and treat Her with reverence and respect due to She who brought you into Being. But, sometimes, Captive Unicorns and Wild Things have less than the best interests at heart for Creation, and our Mother Earth Herself is continually threatened.
We want to send those Captive Unicorns and Wild Things love because they need it desperately. They don’t realize that they ARE captive, trapped in a prison of their own making, giving other people power over them and allowing other people’s opinions about who they ought to be to shape them.
Only we can make the best choices for ourselves about who we are and how we want to live our lives, express ourselves, and celebrate our radiant, unique unicorniness. We deserve to fly our freak flags high with the Freedom to do so without fear of shame, judgment, or danger, as everyone alive deserves. And, because WE know how much fun it is to be a Unicorn or Wild Thing, FREE of the self-imposed imprisonment of what other people think and self-loathing.
If we choose to live in Harmony and Community, collaborating for the highest good for all, we will achieve the dream that Yoko Ono envisioned when she wrote “IMAGINE” (look it up!) And when we lift those who need to be lifted, we lift the whole world together.
How sad to live with thoughts that are so angry and blind and deaf to the Songs of Mother Love and the Eutopia we could create right here and now within this Paradise Earth instead of being torn down by the Captive Unicorns and Wild Things, feeling afraid and alone and lashing out, our cornered kindred, in fear and so angry that they are afraid they can’t hear their own authentic voices within speaking their Truths to them, instead that Voice is locked away in the inner wilderness that exists within us all.
When we discover, through our intentional acts of creativity, that we can learn to hear that Voice and turn down the volume on all the others that are doing us harm.
People fear what they don’t know; anger is born from fear, and when the illusion of control wavers, base primal instinct becomes highly alert.
We are victorious when, by Conscious Choice, we transcend fear and use our wise minds to evaluate the situation from a kind perspective. Humans must evolve to the point where the Will to be Kind surpasses the instinct to be afraid and suspicious, making “others” out of kindred beings.
Since the Dawn of time, humans have developed a built-in instinct to fear change and the unknown, as our very existence depends on staying safe and out of danger. However, in modern times, we aren’t usually in life-or-death situations that require that level of hypervigilance.
Still, people can feel afraid of someone looking, speaking, or acting differently because of that base instinct of fear, which can make us angry. This is where people become unkind and insular, furious that they are afraid, driven by base instincts of which many are unaware, causing them to react from an unconscious level.
Being aware of how the ancient programming in our brains automatically responds to “the stranger” and making a choice to rise above that instinct and BE KIND. Our fear hasn’t evolved; it is our prison until we become conscious of it and choose to free ourselves.
It keeps people warring and creating a false narrative of otherness when, in actuality, we are all part of the whole beautiful mystery of Creation.
Being a civilized person means BEING KIND.
Our sacred duty as Unicorns and Wild Things is to rescue the trapped and hidden Unicorns and Wild Things that reside within every person. To truly be Self-Actualized and Free, we must show them the Way Home to themselves. I call this Way the Way of the Unicorn because it is how I have navigated and blossomed as a Unicorn throughout the challenges that life presents and many dark odysseys of ice and loneliness.
To rescue ourselves and lead us out of hiding, to no longer be lost in our inner wilderness of fear and anger but to realize that being Kind is the only choice for a truly evolved being. The Love, Joy, and Bliss that come from being Kind are worth more than anything money could ever buy and make the world an immeasurably better place.
What if everyone who is reading this right now commits to Being Kind as a Way of Being, like a Unicorn, The Way of the Unicorn? That is so much fun and exciting to imagine!
